pHYLLO eGGS

pHYLLO eGGS steps :

INGREDIENTS ( pHYLLO eGGS ) :

4 sheets phyllo pastry 4
2 tbsp. butter, melted 30 mL
4 tsp. parmesan cheese, grated fresh 20 mL
6 eggs 6
2 green onions and/or fresh basil, finely chopped 2
salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
butter for greasing tins

INSTRUCTIONS ( pHYLLO eGGS ) :

1. Brush sheet of phyllo with melted butter. Top with another sheet and brush with butter. Cut stack
into six 4” (10 cm) squares. Repeat with remaining 2 sheets. Stack 3 squares together so corners do
not overlap. Press into buttered muffin tins.
2. Sprinkle parmesan cheese into each phyllo-lined tin. Break 1 egg into each tin. Sprinkle with green
onion and/or fresh basil, salt, pepper and cayenne.
3. Bake 15-20 minutes at 425°F (220°C). Pastry should be golden and eggs fully cooked.
